DAY 1: MARRAKECH, TIZI N’TICHKA, AIT BEN HADDOU, OUARZAZATE, AGDEZ
We start our Chegaga desert tour with an air-conditioned 4DW vehicle at 08:00 from Marrakech. we cross the High Atlas Moutains and Tizi N-Tichka pass driving along a scenic and pictereseque area to reach the world heritage site of Ait ben haddou. Moroccos most famous Ksar (old village of kasbahs). lunch will be in Ouarzazate.the trip goes through Draa valley crossing the volcanic rock formations of Anti atlas moutains to reach Agdez villages. where the biguest plam groves start for the first night of the tour.
DAY: 2 AGDEZ, DRAA VALLEY , ERG CHIGAGA.
after breakfast. our Erg chigaga desert adventure continue through the palm groves of Draa valley. after a short break in the panoramic view of Draa palmeraie. we will have a stop at Tamgroute to visit the famous Coranic and an under ground Kasbah, we continue to Mhamid, a small village its also the last town and the major Draa oasis before the big wasteland of Erg chegaga Sahara. Next, we continue our 3 days desert from Marrakech. another 60 km off Road from mhamid to Erg chegaga Dune. this larguest group of sahara of the region reaches a height of 300 M and span on an area of 40 KM. dinner and night in a berber tent camp a 40 munites camel trek to enjoy the golden sunset of the desert.
DAY 3 : ERG ECHAGAGA , FOUM ZGUID , TAZNAKHT , MARRAKECH.
after breakfast in Erg chegaga bivouac, departure with 4WD via the old Paris Dakar race raod to Foum Zguid crossing the natural dry Iriki lake, lunch break in the berber village of taznakht. we arrive to Marrakech at late afternoon 6pm and you will be droped off in your Riad.
